The delivery took longer than I thought it would, though I’m not totally sure if it was a carrier issue or something else. The box looked okay when it arrived, so no major complaints there

I’ll admit, once the warranty return started taking a while, I kind of assumed it was going to turn into a whole thing. It was definitely slower than I expected, but in the end the refund got sorted and came through fine.

Just a heads up if you’re thinking about getting a Lomi: the setup was way more frustrating than I expected. I was actually excited to try it, but the instructions were unclear and seemed to skip over small steps that ended up being important. I kept having to pause, look up videos, and basically guess what I was supposed to do next. For something this expensive, getting started should be much smoother. Definitely not the best first impression

I really liked my Lomi in the beginning. It felt convenient, and I was using it regularly after dinner, especially for little things like veggie scraps and coffee grounds. But after about a year, it started getting flaky. It would stop in the middle of a cycle, show random error lights, and sometimes the bucket would still be half-processed in the morning.

I tried all the usual fixes they recommend. I cleaned it out carefully, wiped around the lid seal, reset it, checked that everything was seated right, and made sure I wasn't overfilling it. It would work once or twice, then the same problems would come back again.
For how much this machine costs, I expected it to be more dependable for longer than a year. It was nice while it worked, but the reliability just wasn't there for me. i wish I had gone with something simpler and less expensive.

I really wanted to enjoy the design more because it does have some photos and the green colors are nice. But as I clicked around, it just felt a little too busy for me. There’s so much going on that I didn’t feel relaxed browsing the site, and some of the buttons and sections seemed like they were all trying to grab my attention at once. It’s not a bad-looking site, but it left me feeling kind of overwhelmed instead of interested. I’d give it 2 stars for the overall look...

I like the idea of the Lomi and it does the job okay, but the filters really don’t last long enough. I feel like I’m constantly being pushed to replace them, and the reminders get aggressive after a while. It’s annoying and adds an extra cost I wasn’t really expecting. I still use the machine, but the whole filter situation makes it feel a lot less worth it. I just wish they lasted longer and the reminders weren’t so in-your-face

I reached out to support and barely got anything back. I’ve sent multiple follow-up emails and I’m still just sitting here waiting. Feels like every support team these days takes forever to reply, but this has been especially frustrating.

The Lomi pods have worked well for me so far, and I’ve usually been able to find them on the website without any hassle. Based on my experience, I’d say they’re convenient overall, I just wish they were a bit cheaper...

I didn’t expect it to be this loud. It’s loud enough that I can’t really use it at night, and even during the day it’s still annoying. I bought it for the kitchen, but the noise is just too much. It’s way louder than I thought it would be, and the sound really gets old fast...

I don’t have the patience to pretend this was worth it. It’s just too pricey for what it is, and I expected a lot more for the money

The bin is just too small for us. After one meal prep it’s already full, so I’m constantly emptying it and dealing with it, which gets old really fast. I’ve been feeling mentally drained enough lately, and this just adds another annoying little chore. For the price, I really expected it to hold more. Wish I had paid closer attention to the size before buying.

I’m disappointed with the quality on this. The lid feels flimsy, the buttons don’t have that solid feel, and the plastic started looking worn way sooner than I expected. For the price, I thought it would feel a lot better. Has anyone else had the same issue with it?

It does a decent job keeping food scraps in one place, and I haven’t had any issues with leaking so far. But i’m kind of annoyed because it was made to sound like emptying it would be clean and easy, and that’s not really the case. It still gets messy, which defeats part of the point for me. For the price, I expected it to live up to the promise a bit better.

It does compost like it’s supposed to, but it takes quite a while. I was hoping it would move a bit faster, so the waiting around feels kind of unnecessary at times. Overall, it works okay, just not always as well as I expected

It comes out looking really nice — better than I expected. Happy with the results overall, no complaints.

I bought the lomi thinking it would really cut down on how much trash we were putting out, but I’m not sure it’s made as big of a difference as I expected. It does break down some food scraps, so it’s not like it does nothing, but I kind of keep wondering if I had unrealistic expectations. We’re still taking the garbage out regularly, and for the price and the counter space it takes up, I’m second-guessing whether it was worth it.

Overall, I’d give my lomi 4 stars. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and for the most part, the cycle speed has been good. The shorter mode is really convenient when I want to toss in scraps after dinner and just be done with it.

That said, not every load is quick. If I put in a fuller batch or the scraps are on the wetter side, it can take longer than I expected. It’s not a huge issue, just something I noticed and would want to know ahead of time.

I’m sure it’s helped with the mold because things don’t seem as bad as before. That said, I still notice tiny bugs here and there sometimes, so I wouldn’t say it fixed everything. It helps, just maybe not 100%.
